We’d rather the company takes its time and gets it right than rushes and pushes out something sub-standard. It looks like these include a personnel shortage and the decision to switch to the third-party Unreal Engine 4. Has recently stated that the game is taking ages because Square Enix is making technology decisions that are “out of his hands.” There have been plenty of ‘spinoff’ type games for mobile and handheld consoles, too, including Part of the reason for the delay is Square Enix’s decision to remaster previous Kingdom Hearts games for PS3, then again for PS4. It’s been teased at E3 and D23 events ever since, with trailers, world reveals and gameplay videos to make us even more desperate to get our hands on it. When Square Enix first announced Kingdom Hearts 3 in 2013 we certainly didn’t anticipate that we would wait five years for it to be released. Not only that, but you’ll also be able to equip multiple Keyblades and combo attacks between them! Square Enix has also revealed that the Keyblade will be able to transform into various forms in Kingdom Hearts 3, each form equipped with new attacks, moves and animations. Kingdom Hearts III is the third main installment in the Kingdom Hearts series developed and published by Square Enix. Unfortunately we’re not able to disclose who it is yet, but there will be. Speaking to IGN in July of last year, Nomura said: “It would be tough to introduce many, multiple playable characters, but there is an intention of adding a playable character aside from Sora. We do, however, know that Sora won’t be the only playable character in the game. We don’t yet know whether Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to have a multiplayer element to it, but it is possible. The technology has evolved it’s very new and everyone is doing a lot of research. We’re moving from a totally different console to a new console. “ There’s a lot that’s the same, but there’s a lot that’s changed. A source close to Sony (gotta love those anonymous sources) spoke to STFU And Play, saying:Īpparently, both Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy Versus will be next generation games and the word is that Sony has secured an exclusive deal with Square-Enix to keep these titles on the Playstation 4. ![]() Rumour has it that Kingdom Hearts 3 will finally see the light of day as a PlayStation 4 exclusive title. ![]() It’s been eight years since gamers had their last fix of Sora, Donald and Goofy, but with Sony’s new PlayStation 4 console due for release at the end of the year, there may finally be some good news for fans of the series. Developer Square-Enix threw their lot behind the popular Final Fantasy series, churning out sequel after handsome-looking sequel with nary a word on the fate of Kingdom Hearts. You would be hard-pressed to find a more popular game than Kingdom Hearts III right now.The highly anticipated third game in the main trilogy (not counting the several games made in between Kingdom Hearts II and III), follows the ultimate keyblade master and hero Sora as he travels with allies and friends, Donald Duck and Goofy, across the universe.
